Easter Reflection

Hello All, I hope that you all had a good Easter and found a couple days to relax, spend some time with family and friends and most importantly I hope that you had a chance to just breath and get your feet back underneath you as you head into the home stretch of the semester!!!!

Only 33 days until Graduation for some of us.....

As I was thinking about what to write/reflect on, on this Easter Monday....I went and looked at the readings for next weekend, I read Ricky's Blog piece about his time in Ghana, Africa and I happened to have gotten a status update for an aunt that lives in AZ, she wrote about going to a Sunrise Service in AZ Easter Morning and she wrote something to the affect that we serve an Awesome God!!!!

I've been lucky enough to hear about Ricky's trip first hand, what struck me in his Blog piece was when he mentioned that he HAD to wake his Friend up to see the Mt. Range in Switzerland, he wasn't going to let his friend miss that!!!!!!

That really echoes what the Gospel is about next week, the Gospel is from John, it's basically Thomas' story of doubt and how he had to see to believe, Jesus wasn't going to let Thomas miss out on the experience of the ressurection.

Then I was thinking about how many of you i've been lucky enough to serve on a Mission Trip with or talk with about your experience of God and Faith; isn't it amazing how we as humans always seem to associate our experience of God as something that we see. Whether it's a sunrise or Mt. Range or the faces of the people that have been served on a mission trip experience or a meal program or something like that. God doesn't want us to miss those moments and experiences!!!!!!

As we go forward and celebrate Easter for the next 50-days, keep your eyes open to the Wonders of God in your life. He/She doesn't want you to miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I go, I'd like to extend an invitation to all of you to join us for an evening of Praise/Worship Friday April 24th, as part of the Mission Trip Retreat we have a band that is coming together from 7:30-9pm to play praise/worship music for the group, LOTS to Workcamp Music!!!! if you're around stop in we'd love to see you.

Happy Easter
Tracy
